Duties:

 - Designing and developing IT solutions.
- Reporting to manager on status and progress of project development work.
- Providing technical oversight and support to junior developers.
- Presenting and discussing IT solution offerings with customers.
- Performing testing, technical review and evaluation of IT solutions.
- Technical research and presentation of solutions

 
Requirements:

Education:
Essential: First degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Desirable: MCSD Certification.

Working experience:
Essential:
- At least 3 years experience designing and developing IT solutions preferably using Microsoft.NET
- At least 2 year database development experience, preferably using Microsoft SQL Server.
- At least 1 year supervisory experience.

Desirable:
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
- Microsoft Visual Basic / C# .NET
- SQL Server 2000/2005
- SQL Server Reporting Services 2000/2005
- Good Team Skills
- Ability to resolve issues
- Ability to manage and lead a team.
- Good oral and written communication skills

 
Key Skills: Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- IT Solution Design
- Review requirements specifications.
- Research and determine the best mix of technology options to address customer requirements.
- Develop conceptual, logical and physical design of IT solutions.
- Develop database designs.

Develop technical design documentation including:
- User Interface.
- Business Logic.
- Database Schema and Data Dictionary.
- Solution Architecture.
- Oversight of software developers.
- Assign tasks to technical personnel.
- Report on progress of design and development to project manager.
- Review work done by software developers to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Assist and support software developers in the implementation of development and design tasks.
- Develop and ensure adherence to technical standards on projects.
- Software Development.
- Develop prototypes of IT solutions.
- Develop complex IT solution components.
- Perform unit and system testing.
- Support Sales/Marketing Process.
- Make technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Research new technical areas and make recommendations.
- Interact with customers in presenting/reviewing solution components and functionality.
