Application Consultant / DBA

Duties:

Responsible for providing database and application specific DBA services in support of current and future software implementations. The candidate will also be responsible for understanding specific process areas and disciplines in the organization that will enable effective software application consulting and post implementation support.

Requirements:

 Education:
Essential: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent

Working Experience: 
Essential: 
 -  At least two (2) years experience as an Oracle Database and/or Oracle Applications DBA.
- At least two (2) years experience in general software application support.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Experience in Oracle technical support, Oracle ERP implementations and/or other software implementations will be an asset

 
Key Tasks:

- Database and Application DBA services relating to Oracle eBusiness applications.
- Application consulting, implementation and support services.
- Delivery of software training.
- Preparation of documentation e.g. Training Materials, Technical Support Reports, System Documentation, Installation Procedures, Technical Proposals
