Duties:

Responsible for the maintenance and operation of web and web servers. Development of infrastructure in a mixed environment (Windows, Linux and IBM Websphere). Responsible for installation, configuration and tuning of various web applications components (Application Servers, HTTP Servers) and Database servers.
 
Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:
Essential: Degree in Computer Science.

Working Experience:
Essential:
- At least 2-5 years experience.
 - Responsible for capacity planning and improving the web infrastructure that will make the web site and other production applications available 24/7 to the users and clients.

 

Key Tasks:

 - Assure web servers are always available and adequate fault tolerance is provided.
- Trend and analyze user access and optimize web services to accommodate those habits.
- Review site for hacker attempts and provide counter-measures to prevent future attacks.
- Provide professional and courteous service to the end users
Continuous effort to improve operations, decrease downtimes times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Ensure metrics are collected on all web services and web servers in order to measure MTTR and MTBF.
- Monitor all logs on the web servers.
